Radiant Photo 2.1: Faster, Smarter, and More Natural by Design
Manila, Philippines – Radiant Imaging Labs today announced a significant update to its photo editing software with the upcoming release of Radiant Photo 2.1. This new version introduces a host of powerful new features and over 80 performance fixes, focusing on giving photographers more creative control, flexibility, and a faster, more efficient workflow.
Radiant Photo 2.1 is built on the philosophy of “letting craft win,” providing assistive AI that enhances images without fabricating pixels. A key highlight is the new Zone-Based Black & White tool, which offers precise, feathered control over specific tonal ranges. This powerful feature allows for smooth, halo-free transitions and the ability to reassign color zones for maximum creative effect, even allowing for partial color to remain in the final image.
Key Features and Enhancements in Radiant Photo 2.1
- Import Your Own LUTs: Users can now load third-party LUTs directly into the software, opening up a world of creative possibilities from film stocks to custom grades.
- “Uber” Sliders: Two new global fine-tune sliders for “Develop” and “Color Grade” have been added to the top toolbar, offering a quick and easy way to adjust the intensity of core corrections and creative looks.
- Enhanced Performance & Workflow: The update includes more than 80 performance fixes, plus faster Lightroom plug-in loads, headless batch export, and a new “Reopen Last Session” feature for non-destructive continuity.
- Smarter Noise Reduction: A new “Detailed Scan” chooser intelligently selects the best noise reduction method for each image, delivering natural-looking results without sacrificing detail.
- Essential EXIF Viewer: A new panel displays crucial photo details like camera, lens, and exposure settings at a glance, helping photographers make smarter editing decisions.
In addition to these core features, Radiant Photo 2.1 introduces new creative packs for sale, including collections tuned for Newborn & Baby portraits and Neo Tokyo urban tones, which are optimized for cityscapes and street photography.
The development team has prioritized performance and stability, with Elia Locardi encouraging the community to continue providing feedback, stating, “Your feedback directly informed many of the changes in this release.”
